We are looking for skilled and motivated individuals to join our growing team. By joining our team you’ll get the opportunity to produce luxury motor boats, and will be involved throughout the build process as well as new product development. We are recruiting for the following roles:
BOAT BUILDER / MARINE ENGINEER
Candidates must be from a marine background with experience in boat building or boat repairs and can demonstrate ability to work in boat building environment. You should be methodical, have attention to detail and good quality workmanship. Being able to work safely in a controlled environment is key to this position as you will be responsible for your own safety and that of others. This role will include the following duties; first and second fix joinery, leisure marine engineering and knowledge of 12v electrical systems. Skills required:
- Previous marine experience
- Experience of working to a high standard of finish and high attention to detail
- excellent application of scribing and classic carpentry techniques
- Flexibility, the ability to adapt to varied tasks, working independently and as part of a team.
- Provide own tools
- GRP experience desirable but not essential
Candidate will focus on furniture production for interior fitout of new boats. The role will include first and second fix joinery, bespoke cabinet making, finishing and production of interior upholstery panels.
Skill required include:
- excellent application of scribing and classic carpentry techniques
- Ability to produce furniture to a high standard
- Excellent attention to detail
- Flexibility, the ability to adapt to varied tasks, working independently and as part of a team.
- Provide own tools
TRAINEE / APPRENTICE BOAT BUILDER
Ideal candidate should be undertaking traineeship level 2/3 in joinery / engineering. Duties will include 1st & second fix joinery work, assist with fit out of new boats and general duties relating to marine trade. Candidate should be eager to learn, methodical, have attention to detail and good quality workmanship. Skills Required
- In / due to start traineeship in joinery (bench) or engineering.
- Good attention to detail and show initiative
- Methodical and thorough approach to work
- A desire to learn new skills in marine trade
- Punctual and reliable with conscientious attitude to work
